From March 2022 to November 2024, I was the lead digital designer for the IBM Research website. I worked with a team of developers, project managers, data analysts, content writers, and strategists to showcase and support research in the areas of AI, quantum computing, hybrid cloud, and science. I created low- and high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes in Figma for each browser breakpoint, from desktop to mobile, before passing off screens to our developers.
Website refresh Design systems Grid
My first priority was to refresh the website’s design, and unify the visual design and UX patterns across the site, to align with IBM’s updated brand design system. This included simplifying the number of typeface styles and colors, CTA styles, and ensuring each page aligned to the new grid.
Interactive design
I also worked on adding interactive features to the website to engage users, such as an interactive map of the labs across the globes.
AI Playground
In addition to the IBM Research website, I designed a playground for users to try IBM Granite’s AI language and code models.
